This year TELUS joins Bhangra Nation in celebrating its 10th anniversary by presenting the World Bhangra & Dhol Competition on November 18th, 2006 as the official event sponsor. TELUS will also be the official sponsor for the grand opening of Bhangra Nation’s newest project: the Bhangra Nation Studio.
Both TELUS and Bhangra Nation strongly support community involvement and efforts to educate and inspire youth across various ethnic communities. TELUS and Bhangra Nation share the common goal of creating a greater sense of unity. TELUS and Bhangra Nation believe it is important to honour and celebrate the arts, cultures, and traditions unique to Canada’s cultural mosaic. These values have naturally united our organization with TELUS in this partnership.
Bhangra Nation X presented by TELUS is a wonderful event which will help everyone to appreciate the beauty and spirit of the Punjabi tradition of Bhangra. As well Bhangra Nation will allow Canadians to share in other positive aspects of Punjabi culture, including arts and traditions such as giddha and the dhol. Look forward to the upcoming press releases, which will high light more about Bhangra Nation’s collaborative effort with TELUS. Bhangra Nation proudly welcomes TELUS as a partner, as together we will present the 10th Anniversary World Bhangra & Dhol Competition with strength and vivacity.
On behalf of all of the Bhangra Nation executives, I thank TELUS for taking an interest in a community based organization that seeks to reach out to individuals of all ages by promoting cultural awareness and celebrating the cultural diversity of Canada. We at Bhangra Nation are proud to be in partnership with TELUS and look forward to working with you.
