K-Singh Ft. Lovely Singh ‘Naal Nachi Tu’
Having being brought up in a musical family, K-Singh had a very strong passion for music. Since the age of three he has been learning tabla from some of the most renowned tabla players in the UK – Late Gurmeet Singh Virdee, Harkirat Singh Rayatt (Chakardar Tabla Group) and Pritam Singh (disciple of Ustaad Ajit Singh Mutlashi Ji) to name a few, as well as his uncle Mandeep Singh Sahota – enabling him to accompany his grandfather, and others, at many gurdwara’s across the Midlands and London.
Having learnt how to play the tabla, K-Singh also picked up the art of playing dhol and dholki very quickly. At the age of 11 he was encouraged to take his ‘dhol playing’ even further, performing at parties, weddings, school functions and more.
Gradually his interest in other instruments also grew – such as the harmonium (the ‘vaja’), keyboard, piano and tumbi – and in a very short space of time, he became a natural at playing instruments he had never learnt before.
