The Urban Muslim Woman Show 2012 - Empowering Women
The female Muslim community are once again making themselves heard with the return of The Urban Muslim Woman (UBM) show on Saturday 19th of May. The event, the first of it’s kind in the UK, will commemorate International Women’s day by giving a platform to successful career women in disciplines traditionally dominated by Men.

Females – who have often been marginalised in many cultures which claim to follow the Islamic Faith – will be given the unique opportunity to highlight and celebrate their accomplishments amongst their peers at the luxurious venue.

The digital station honours the Bollywood music industry’s finest in an insightful and entertaining TV programme. It explores and celebrates the lives of internationally renowned artists Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Adnan Sami and Kailash Kher as they embark on concert tours across the UK.

The Asia House Festival of Asian Literature – the first and only festival in the UK dedicated to the celebration of Pan Asian writing, from the Persian Gulf to the Pacific – is delighted to announce the full programme for 2012. This year’s festival will explore themes of power and change across Asia – culturally, economically, politically and socially – and the festival will welcome a number of high profile authors and commentators including British Asians Roshi Fernando, Daljit Nagra, Susheila Nasta, Shazia Mirza, Rani Singh and Hardeep Singh Kohli.
